Our four heroes find themselves in a race against agents from the United States, the Franco-Mexican Empire, the California Republic, and the Third-and-a-Half Reich, to find that crashed saucer and learn its secrets. And as a result, they will change the course of history, again.

It's an amusing ride through an alternate universe in which Texas remained a republic. A lot of characters, both fictional and familiar from our reality, cruise through the story with some well deserved digs at many of the latter. Add in the great artwork and it's a good value!
